Monk Fruit Powder, known for its natural sweetness, offers a healthier alternative to sugar without the calories. This powder is derived purely from the dried monk fruit, native to Southeast Asia, specifically southern China and Thailand. It’s celebrated not only for its sweetness but also for its health benefits, such as supporting weight management and glycemic control. As always, it’s advisable to consult with healthcare professionals for personalised guidance on health concerns.

Our Organic Monk Fruit Powder is different from most options available on the market as it is made from the whole fruit, rather than just the juice. This means the powder is less sweet but retains all the natural benefits of the entire fruit. Unlike many other monk fruit powders, ours contains no additives—most commercial powders use additives to prevent clumping since they are made from juice powder. Additionally, many brands add sweeteners like erythritol to enhance sweetness and create a whiter appearance. We prioritise purity, offering a 100% monk fruit product with nothing added, ensuring a more natural and authentic monk fruit experience.

FAQs

What is the difference between whole Monk fruit powder and Monk fruit extract?

This is the most important question for this product, and the answer determines whether it is the right format for your application. Monk fruit extract — the dominant commercial form — is made by juicing the fruit, concentrating the mogroside compounds (the sweet compounds) to typically 10–50% Mogroside V content, then spray-drying onto a carrier (usually maltodextrin or erythritol). The result is a white or off-white powder that is roughly 150–300 times sweeter than sugar by weight and contains substantial carrier ingredients. Whole monk fruit powder (this product) — the entire dried fruit is simply ground to a powder. No extraction, no concentration, no carriers. Mogroside V content is approximately 1% — reflecting its natural concentration in the whole fruit. The powder is brown (natural fruit colour), moderately sweet rather than intensely so, and the ingredient list is purely the whole fruit. It is a whole food ingredient rather than a concentrated extract.

Why does this product not look white like other Monk fruit powders?

The white appearance of most commercial monk fruit powders is a result of processing and additives, not a natural characteristic of the fruit. When monk fruit extract is concentrated and spray-dried onto an erythritol or maltodextrin carrier, the resulting powder takes on the pale colour of those carrier ingredients. This HC product uses no carriers and no erythritol — the powder’s natural brown colour is the colour of the whole dried monk fruit itself, which is a brownish-yellow fruit with no white pigmentation. If you have purchased monk fruit powder before and it was white, it contained carrier ingredients. If you are looking for a white powder for colour-critical applications, a conventional monk fruit extract product would be more appropriate. If you are looking for a clean-label whole fruit ingredient with a single-item ingredient declaration, this brown powder is the authentic whole fruit format.
